The importance of safety standards on your job site cannot be overstated. Protecting your assets is paramount to productivity and success.

You work hard to service your machinery and equipment regularly to ensure its efficiency, safety, and longevity with regular preventative maintenance, but have you considered your workers? Perhaps one of your most important assets, they too require special attention to keep them safe and productive. The cost associated with on-the-job injuries is staggering. At  Cobra , our team is passionate about safety and mitigates such costs with our thorough and effective safety programs.

Personal Protection Equipment

PPE for employees is critical to achieving an outstanding concrete work safety record. Ensuring its highest quality by providing certified products that comply with government issued standards is key. All trades present specific dangers which can contribute to bodily injury. Concrete cutting in particular, is treacherous work. From eye, ear, and hand protection, to hard hats, steel-toed work boots, and respirators, Cobra employees are fully trained in the proper use of their PPE and comply with our strict guidelines.

OSHA 30

Maintaining a strong safety culture in the workplace is crucial. Cobra’s continued training and education programs allow everyone to get involved, which increases the awareness and proficiency of the safety standards we work hard to implement. Our management and field teams maintain certification with an OSHA-30 Hour Construction Safety and Health Card. New employees must fulfill this requirement to preserve our safety standards.

Team Participation

It takes everyone working together to maintain an exceptional safety record. The workers themselves are usually the first to spot potential job site hazards, so encouraging their participation with ongoing training on recognizing threats and keeping up with their site-specific job hazard analysis sheets, is particularly important. At Cobra, we also utilize annual orientations and monthly team safety meetings with both management and the senior field operators to raise the bar on industry safety standards in our business.

Utilize Experts

In addition to using in-house resources for cultivating site safety, we frequently turn to experts for additional help. Outside consultants and manufacturer representatives are vital resources for safety inspections and equipment training for thriving companies who place such an emphasis on safety. As we offer a versatile array of concrete cutting services, we also make the safety of our employees and those on the job site are our highest priority. We are a proud recipient of the Chicago Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates’ Annual Safety Award. Don’t hesitate to contact us for more information on how our passion for safety can benefit your next concrete cutting project.
