What is slab sawing?

A slab saw is a large machine with a spindle mounted blade. An operator walks behind the machine guiding the saw to cut concrete slabs on grades, or pre-formed concrete slabs. The slab saw is used on asphalt, as well. Slab saws are designed to cut trenches for pipes and for removing larger sections of concrete. These saws come in electric or diesel versions. We have both diesel and electric so that you can choose the one that best fits your needs. The saws cut to a depth of up to 32 inches. It is important when cutting into concrete to be aware of present hazards such as electrical wiring, water lines or other structures within the concrete. Our state-of-the-art ground-penetrating radar detects these dangers, before cutting, assuring the safety of all workers.
