Cobra Concrete Cutting Services Co. is a one-stop union shop for all your concrete sawing, drilling, breaking and removal needs. We offer 24-hour service and immediate response times to provide our customers the highest level of service. Our services include the following:
CORE DRILLING
Diamond core drilling techniques are used when a precise circular penetration is needed. Holes of just about any size and depth can be achieved through this process, as small as 1/2" to 60" in diameter. Coring can be done in slabs and walls, on any angle and even upside down through a ceiling when no access is available. Diamond core drilling can be used for many applications, including but not limited to holes for:
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- HVAC
- Telecommunication Lines
- Anchoring Bolts
- Concrete Sample Analysis
These techniques are commonly used in concrete, precast concrete, asphalt, brick, cinderblock and tile. Core drilling machines typically run off of electric power sources but for large diameter holes hydraulic is available.
SLAB SAWING
Slab Sawing, sometimes referred to as flat or road sawing, is the most commonly used diamond cutting method. A slab saw is a walk behind machine with a blade mounted on a spindle. Common slab saw uses include cutting trenches to install plumbing and electrical pipes below grade, expansion joints, decorative sawing, or to remove damaged areas. Saws can range from five to over one hundred horse power to suit any application. This technique is commonly used in concrete, precast concrete, asphalt, bridge decks, and brick pavers. Our slab saws are available in diesel and electric, and have a maximum cutting depth of 24" inches.
WALL SAWING
Wall Sawing is a track mounted saw that is used to cut precise dimensions in walls and floors. Typical uses include cutting windows, doors, HVAC openings, elevator and stair openings, and separation cuts for demolition contractors. Our wall saws can cut up to 27" from one side, can be set on any angle, and can cut flush to adjacent surfaces. Common applications include cutting concrete, precast concrete, brick, and cinderblock.
WIRE SAWING
Sawing with diamond wire is the most efficient way to remove large concrete structures such as foundations, bridges, equipment pads or to make openings in thick walls. The big advantage of wire sawing is that there is basically no limit to the depth that can be cut. Another advantage is the noise level is reduced considerably.
HANDHELD SAWING
Handheld Sawing techniques are generally used for smaller jobs where it is faster and more cost effective than using other cutting methods. Typical applications include HVAC openings in brick and cinderblock, beam pockets, and small openings in slabs and walls. Handheld saws can cut up to a 6" depth from one side, and are available in electric and hydraulic depending on the application.
RING SAWING
Ring Sawing is a hand held hydraulic saw that is capable of a cutting depth of 10" from one side. The ring saw differs from other saws because the blade is not put on a spindle, the blade has no core (center) and it rotates on a roller system which allows a 14" blade to cut a depth of 10".
CHAIN SAWING
Hydraulic Chain Sawing is generally used in conjunction with wall sawing. The chain saw can cut the corners without any over cuts, saving the integrity of the slab or wall that is to be left in place. Chain saws are also used to cut openings in floors or walls when it is more cost-effective then other cutting methods. Chain saws are commonly used for HVAC openings that are relatively small in outside dimension. Our chain saws can reach a maximum of 24” in cutting depth.
BOBCAT SERVICES
Cobra offers concrete removal off-site, concrete breaking, auguring and trenching. In areas where bobcats and other machines cannot be used Cobra utilizes sawing techniques to dice up areas into manageable pieces to be removed by hand.
EXCAVATION
Cobra offers trench excavation utilizing electric mini excavators to eliminate the need for hand digging. This process is used in hospitals, office buildings, grocery stores, and many other facilities where fumes must be avoided.
CONCRETE PATCHING
Cobra performs concrete pour backs of slab on grade trenches and boxes. We currently have several crews and a network of subs to provide you with the highest level of service.
We provide the patching of precast panels after the saw cutting has been completed. Once the opening is out of the wall we remove 6” of the foam and patch back with concrete allowing for windows and doors to be secured in place.
In addition to these services we supply and install pipe bollards.
GPR
Ground penetrating radar is our service used for locating objects such as conduits and rebar through concrete and asphalt as well as beneath soil through the use of radar waves. For more information please visit www.cobrascanning.com
In addition to the above listed services Cobra Concrete Cutting also provides:
- Bumper Post Installation
- Crack and Joint Sealing
- Specialized Demolition
- Horizontal Curb Cutting
- Concrete Flatwork
- Equipment Repair
- Equipment Rental
